Touchpad Not Working on Windows 10
If your touchpad isn’t working, it might be a result of a missing, unfortunately, or out-of-date driver. Updating or reinstalling your touchpad drivers in Device Manager may help solve the problem.
To open Device Manager, type device manager in the search box on the taskbar, then select Device Manager.
Update touchpad drivers and check
- Open Device Manager. (follow the above on how to open Device manager)
- To find touchpad devices, select Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the device you’d like to update.
- Select Update Driver then restart your system and check
If the issue still persists then try reinstalling the touchpad drivers

Change Touchpad Sensitivity in Windows 10 from Settings App
1. Press the Windows key + I together to open the Settings app and go to Devices
2. Select the Touchpad tab. On the right-side pane, you can click the Touchpad sensitivity drop-down box to adjust the sensitivity level of your touchpad.
3. After trying the various levels: Low sensitivity, Medium Sensitivity, High Sensitivity, or Most Sensitive, you should know which level is appropriate.

Here few steps on how to perform a clean boot
- Type msconfig in the search bar and open system configuration.

How to test the touchpad functionality in BIOS setup.
- Restart the System.
- Press the F2 key or del key before you see the manufacturer’s logo.
- Once you access the BIOS setup then you can just check whether the cursor moves fine without jumping.
- Touchpad works fine in BIOS then you should reinstall the windows.
